TRAINING GOALS: To drive awareness and acceptance of the diagnosis, management and care for individuals with special needs.
To provide basic interventions and first aid techniques for individuals living with disabilities and caring them.
To sensitize and encourage the exploration of current learning adaptations and techniques for educating people with special needs; promoting education, inclusion and societal acceptance.
To encourage the learning of alternative language skills for effective communication especially with special needs individuals.

This one-week demo explores core strategies for supporting children with disabilities in Nigeria. Caregivers will learn person-centred care, communication techniques, stress management, and how to coordinate services within local contexts. Activities include an orientation, a live Zoom class, short readings, a reflective assignment, a 10-question quiz, and a Q&A forum.

Caring for Children with Disabilities in Nigeria
This course is designed to equip parents, guardians, teachers, and community caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to provide effective care and support for children with disabilities in Nigeria.
